Sometimes when switching between hosting companies or when you add plugins to your server, you have to switch the permissions so everything works as it should.

It’s a pretty painless process, but I wanted to do a quick podcast on it nonetheless!

One of the worst things about technology is the need to always move stuff around.  Since I started the Hackz network, I have had to move four sites multiple times because of them crashing servers thanks to the Digg Effect.  Not that I’m complaining – but it’s still a pain in the ass.

And now, with hosting platforms and wanting to move to new domains and stuff like that, it can be hard to sort through all the crap out there in regards to moving sites the right way.  So I decided to do a video podcast on how to migrate between servers or switch domain names!

The podcast is a bit long, but make sure if you take on this project you have two or three hours to devote to it.  Especially if you have all kinds of stuff on your current site!

This site is going to be a bit different that what you’re used to…  We’re going all video!  Well mostly video.  There will be some link posts and some reviews of themes and stuff – but we’re doing mostly video tutorials!!
